This news talks about a study which published in the European Journal of Preventive Cardiology was researched by Johns Hopkins University of Medicine. It examined the health and exercise of more than 225,000 adults around the world over seven years. Research result that walking 4,000 steps a day reduced deaths from diabetes(糖尿病), cardiovascular diseases(心血管疾病) and other life-threatening conditions.

For most people, walking is just walking around outside, and sometimes with friends. Walking is also a way to relax your body and mind. But the research in this news tells us that walking 4,000 per day can extend life. I think that only by walking more than 4,000 steps every day can reduce the possibility of dying from life-threatening diseases as mentioned in the article.So you should go outside more and don't stay at home all the time to stay healthy!
